This can be disabled on the PC globally, but I believe an option to disable it also exists in the compatibility options of the game executable files. These games sometimes have trouble starting, or show weird colours or stretch to odd dimensions, if Display Scaling is enabled in Windows. Out of all the games in the Ultimate Collection pack, those are the ones you have to worry about the least the unofficial patches available for them fix pretty much all known issues for these games. There is a very active fan community around these games dedicated to patching them and making them playable online (namely, CnCNet).You should never need to buy The Ultimate Collection to play just these games you can just download them for free. I hope someone can ensure me that they'll work otherwise I don't want to waste my money (especially that I own all titles after C&C 3). As far as I know Collection is optimized for Win 7 and I saw some people complaining about problems with running some titles on newer software. For me gameplay and atmosphere of the game are very important not the graphics. I know many opinions are based on nostalgia but nevertheless I still want to play them. I heared many people praising the older games when Westwood was in charge. I didn't like C&C 4 though, it lacked sth. I started my journey with C&C 3 Tiberium Wars and always wanted to play the older games. Get Command & Conquer Generals and Zero Hour working flawlessly on Windows 10 and 11 with GenPatcher. I'm a big fan of the series unfortunately I was born too late to play the older, classic games in the time of their "glory". I was wondering if older games will run on Windows 10? I'm mostly worried about games like original, first C&C, Red Alert and Tiberian Sun. I'm considering buying Command and Conquer Ultimate Collection. I'm new to this site and I'm writing this post only to ask one question which is really important for me.
